Those who are accepted for entrance into our Institute will undertake the following formation program:
1) PRE-NOVITIATE :
Candidacy: A period in which the candidate is introduced to community life and the work of the society; he concentrates on the study of the English language.
Aspirancy: A period during which the aspirant continues to grow in the understanding of Religious life and the spirituality and charism of the Institute; he learns the basics of Christian faith and studies the language of the country where he resides.
Postulancy: During this time the [postulant enters more fully into the life of the community and the spirit of the Society, while pursuing the first years of philosophical studies..
2) NOVITIATE: The period wherein the novice prepares for the commitment of First Vows by intensive formation in the spiritual life, the apostolate and the charism of the Society and by an experience of mission.
3) JUNIORATE: The period of time following Novitiate and Profession of First Vows, during which priestly studies are resumed and temporary vows are renewed annually for at least three years, after which Final Profession is made.
4) DIACONATE: The period of ministry as a Deacon.
5) PRIESTHOOD: After ordination to the Priesthood, one begins his priestly ministry.
