It was
Jesus Christ on the Cross through
His Blessed Mother –Who in His Great
Mercy and love chose one of His most
unworthy and most uncapable of human
beings to start His own work among the poor-
Therefore the Society [and Family] as a
whole and in detail is completely and
will always remain the sole possession
of the Mother of God.

CONSECRATION
TO JESUS THROUGH MARY
EPHESUS COVENANT
This period of
preparation is a special time of grace. Our Lady wants and will make
herself known to us. We will receive the graces Our Lord has waiting for
us during this time as we open ourselves to Our Lady, allowing the
mysteries of her thirst (to satiate the Thirst of Jesus) to penetrate our
souls. The material is divided up into five weeks (34 days). There are
daily readings and meditations. The first five days are reflections which
explain the fruits of Our Lady’s presence in our life in the light of
Mother Teresa’s spirituality. The following twenty eight days are daily
meditations which help us penetrate the mystery of the role of Mary in the
revelation of Jesus’ cry of thirst from the cross.
Such gift of self
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will help us to achieve a more effective
and complete union with Jesus, and a deeper penetration of the mystery of
His life and especially of His thirst.
Covenant
of Consecration
“We must … abandon ourselves completely into her hands.”
The desire of
Mother Teresa that she and her sisters [and her spiritual Family] live
their life of union with Jesus in and through the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, expressed itself concretely in the practice of Marian consecration.
Besides the formal consecration made by all, and set out in the
institute’s book of prayers, this total entrustment to Our Lady was
embodied in Mother’s most well-known and often repeated prayer, used
throughout the day, almost as a consecration in miniature, at the end of
every act of common prayer:
“Immaculate
Heart of Mary, Cause of our Joy, pray for us.”
Time and time again Mother would exhort her followers to take Our Lady
into their hearts and lives as John the beloved disciple had done on
Calvary.
‘Pray’ the
material slowly with the intention of uniting your prayer with Our Lady’s
prayer.

The M.C. must always be with Our Lady
at the foot of the Cross of Jesus
with their chalice lifted right up,
as to quench
the burning thirst of Jesus
