"The harvest is plentiful,

pray therefore the
Lord of the harvest
to send out laborers into
His harvest."

with Me for one hour?"

There is great need for vocations to the priesthood and the religious life in the Church of today, for indeed, “…the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”. And the first apostolate in the work for vocations is the apostolate of prayer for vocations : “…pray therefore the Lord of the harvest…” In his homily at Holy Thursday Mass, 2004, Pope John Paul II made the following statement: “Only a Church in love with the Eucharist generates, in turn, holy and numerous priestly vocations. And she does so through prayer and the testimony of holiness, offered in a special way to the new generations.”

As Missionaries of Charity Fathers, we feel the call to satiate the Thirst of Jesus for love and for souls by adoring Him in the Blessed Sacrament and asking Him to strengthen all priests and consecrated persons and “to send out new laborers to His harvest”, following the words of our Mother: “We quench the Thirst of Jesus by adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, by that personal meeting Him face to face. Renew your zeal to quench His Thirst under the appearance of bread…”
It is our desire to respond to this urgent call to pray for vocations by forming a vast family of persons spread throughout the world who will be united in prayer for vocations through the commitment of a Weekly Holy Hour for Vocations, done at the time and church of each one's choice. There is no other requirement necessary to join.
Those of you who would like to join are invited to send us your name, address and/or email address, in order that we may include you in our calendar of all those who are united in prayer with us throughout the world. We hope to be able to share with you from time to time the fruits of our union in prayer through our newsletter and to send you a prayer card with a vocational prayer that you can pray during your Weekly Holy Hour.
Our desire is to fill the entire week (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) with adorers of the Eucharistic Lord, so that as we make the unified effort to respond to His call with incessant prayer for vocations, He will most certainly fulfill His promise and send forth an abundance of new and holy vocations to the priesthood, the consecrated life, and sacramental marriage.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
